Saturday Sketchbook Club - Lauren McInerney

£10.00

Sketchbook Club with Lauren McInerney
Saturday 27th June | 10:00am – 12:00pm
Big Onion Community Hub, Town Hall Gardens, Southport

Join us for our next Sketchbook Club, hosted by artist Lauren, for a relaxed and experimental morning of creativity.

This month, we’ll be exploring negative space, colour, collage, drawing and cyanotype (an early photographic process known for its beautiful blueprint-blue prints).

Using cut-outs, mark-making, layering, shadows and found objects, Lauren will guide us through playful ways of creating images and experimenting with composition. This is very much a session about exploration, curiosity and having a go— no experience needed.

We’ll be working with a mixture of drawing, collage, and light-sensitive materials to create unique sketchbook pages and experiment with new techniques in a relaxed, welcoming environment.

Who is this for?
This session is open to all ages and abilities. Whether you’re completely new to sketchbooks, love to doodle, or are already creative and looking to try something different, you’ll be warmly welcomed.

What you need to know:
• 📖 Please bring your sketchbook
• ✏️ Bring your favourite drawing materials (pencils, pens, watercolour, ink etc.)
• ✂️ Please bring scissors
• 💎 If you can, bring a few interesting small transparent or opaque objects to experiment with (lace, glass, perfume bottles, mesh, chains, glasses etc.)
• ☕ Refreshments included

Sketchbook Club is a lovely, relaxed way to spend a Saturday morning — a chance to slow down, experiment, and enjoy creativity alongside others in a friendly, no-pressure space.

Spaces are limited and these sessions are always popular, so early booking is recommended.
