Holy Family Craft Club

July 28th 2025 / August 11th 10:00-12.00

Emmys crafty cafe comes to Holy Family Church! Join us for a relaxing morning of drawing and painting - this month we’re inviting participants to participate in a community canvas - all materials will be provided free of charge, so think about the theme of community and what it means to you, there is a chance your work could be exhibited at the Southport Arts Festival, so don’t miss out! These sessions are complete free of charge, but donations are welcome, with all money going back into providing our accessible workshops. If you plan to attend, please just drop us an email to arteasenorthwest@gmail.com so we have an idea of how many will be attending, thanks!

Light for Life sketchbook club

August 7th / August 21st 10-11.30

The sketchbook club is a weekly meet up with clients from Light for Life, Southport. we meet up in the town center and travel around, sketching on location. This workshop is not open to the public, but feel free to contact us for more information on this project or if you’d like to be involved.

Mindful Drawing workshops

July 30th 2025 / August 6th / August 13th / August 20th / August 27th 13:00-15:00

A class that combines the practice of drawing with mindfulness techniques like focusing on the present moment and paying attention with non-judgment. It's about using drawing as a way to reduce stress, enhance creativity, and cultivate self-awareness. The goal is not necessarily to create a masterpiece, but rather to experience the process of drawing with intention and presence.  If you, or someone you know feel you may benefit from attending a course of funded Mindful Drawing workshops, please contact us to discuss.

Emmys Crafty Cafe

August 15th 10:00-12:00

Emmys Crafty Cafe is a monthly workshop open to the public. During this informal session you will create unique, mindful crafts under the guidance of local artist Emmy Oranges, and meet likeminded people in a friendly and welcoming atmosphere. All materials are provided however feel free to bring any paper scraps or materials you may wish to include.

All ages and abilities are welcome and encouraged however any small children must be supervised. This event is part of Art Ease’s vision to remove barriers to the arts and reduce isolation in Southport. We look forward to you joining us.

Change Grow Live

August 1st 12:00 - 14:30

Change Grow Live (CGL) is a UK-based charity focused on helping people make positive changes in their lives, particularly in the areas of drug and alcohol use, housing, domestic abuse, and mental and physical wellbeing. We are working with CGL on a monthly basis to provide therapeutic art sessions to their clients. If you are already attending CGL, please speak to a member of staff if you would like to join us for this peer-led session.

Maximum Effort Art Class

Emmy is taking on the younger generation with this illustration workshop in collaboration with Maximum Effort Art Club!

“Saturday 23rd August we welcome the super talented, Southport based Illustrator Emmy Oranges to deliver a cool, bespoke workshop at the studio. It’s an amazing opportunity for our youngsters to gain tips, tricks & advice from a professional illustrator based right here in Southport!! Places are limited, so get in now as we cant promise the spots will be there for long. Priced at the same as our normal sessions at £15, this is a fantastic experience opportunity”
